Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor & Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

Hello, my name is Stephanie Hamilton. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with over 8 years of clinical experience. I am passionate about empowering others to know that they are not alone and that positive change is possible. I have experience offering spiritual/biblical integration into sessions upon request from guests.

I utilize a person-centered approach, knowing that each person has unique experiences and out of that, different values, beliefs, and passions are developed. My counseling style is non-judgmental, empathetic, and genuine. I create a safe place where you can come as you are and know that you will be accepted, encouraged, and challenged along the way. I am a trauma informed counselor and have experience working with complex trauma. I enjoy working with individuals ages 16 and up, in the areas of ADHD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence/abuse, grief/loss, life transitions, parenting, perinatal concerns, relationship distress, and general wellness.

I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health, having received my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International (PSI). The Perinatal Mental Health Certification Program recognizes individuals who possess the competency required to help mothers, fathers, and families experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in the perinatal period. This encompasses concerns connected to pregnancy loss, high-risk pregnancy, and any mood (depression, bipolar, psychosis) and anxiety (obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks/generalized anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder) struggles related to pregnancy through 2 years postpartum. I work with moms, dads, couples, and families who are experiencing perinatal mental health concerns.

Outside of work, I greatly enjoy spending time with my family. Some of my favorite things include Jazzercise on Demand, tea, dark chocolate, reading, and watching animated movies/shows.

You are not alone, and I would be honored to support you in your journey to personal healing/growth.
